WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

The workout is a combination of interval running on the treadmill and dynamic, high-intensity exercises. You can expect to switch from the treadmill workout to the floor workout, having 2 rounds on each (ie. treadmill workout to floor workout, back to the treadmill, back to the floor. Done.) The class is 60-minutes long.

 

The Workout

01. THE RUN intervals

The run workout is scalable; whether you are an elite athlete or new to high-intensity exercise you will receive a workout that is individually challenging based on your personal maximum pace.

Personal Maximum pace/top speed

Everyone in class will run at a different level and our method reflects that. All of our intervals are cued based on your individual Top Speed, whatever that may be. It is completely tailored to your individual running ability. Expect to play with different variables such as speed, incline, duration, and recovery.

02. THe HIIT

High Intensity Interval Training is a technique that alternates short, intense bursts of exercise with brief periods of rest. Designed to keep your heart rate up, improve your muscular endurance, and promote functional strength. Expect variety; each instructor will have their own take on the method.

HIIT FOCUS

Every workout is designed to incorporate dynamic and core centric exercises and the instructors will also create a body focus depending on their style and the day of the week. Double-HIIT options available. Call the studio to book a double-HIIT spot.

THE TREADMILLS

Our WOODWAY4Fronts are the most innovative treadmills on the market, designed to provide an exceptionally comfortable, low impact workout. Comprised of individual shock-absorbing slates that have been scientifically proven to reduce harmful shock to joints, muscles, and connective tissue. They are faster, more responsive, and easier to use. The treadmill provides a safe and controlled environment to push your limits and explore what you are capable of.

Some quick specs: WOODWAY treadmills are built to handle runners weighing up to 800 lbs (360 kg) at speeds between 0-4 MPH (0-6.5 km/h) and 400 lbs (180 kg) at speeds greater than 4MPH (6.5 km/h). Total dimensions: 72" L x 35" W x 64" H. Running surface: 68" L x 22" W.
